I actually am into comics very much. When I was drawing the robot it felt like it was vaguely WWII era, so I tried to play up that feeling a little bit. I think the end result gives it that intriguing feeling you mentioned.

Possibly, the helmet looks similiar to a nazi helmet, but the image brings me back to the days of "Fall out 1 & 2" and I just want to know more about that robot dammit!

Yes! What could its purpose possibly be? The man in its hand is obviously terrified, yet there is another bystander nearby who is completely unphased. To be perfectly honest, I don't know what its purpose is. I prefer to keep these things open for the viewer's imagination to fill in. I imagine that it is perhaps built "cleanse" the streets of some bizzare utopian super-city of citizens that do not meet spedific criteria. At any rate, I think its clear that it operates with no emotion and acts with some unjust, oppressive nature.
